About Me
Dennis has been teaching in Food Safety and Health and Safety for over three years along with a fifteen year career in Local Authority Environmental Health
With a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Environmental Health and a EHORB Certificate in Food Premises Inspection, Dennis has built on his qualifications with a wealth of professional development, but it is the hands on practical experience which gives Dennis’s training that extra value.
Dennis has visited and worked with hundreds of businesses over the years, these range from one man enterprises such as home caterers to large multinational companies and
every type of business you can think of in-between.
Much of this work was to enforce the legislation but more often that not, simply to give advice and guidance on what is required to keep within the law and to encourage good practice.
Some of the more recent projects which Dennis has been involved with include, taking a significant role within his Authority for the introduction of Safer Food Better Business and the setting up of the Gloucestershire Scores on the Doors scheme. For the past two years Dennis has spent a considerable amount of time working with hairdressers and caterers in Gloucestershire as part of the HSE’s recent campaign to reduce incidences of Contact Dermatitis in the workplace.
Originally from Newcastle, Dennis has lived in Hereford for over 25 years, with his partner and two children aged 5 and 10
